Estimates are ranges, not offers

Any figure from the instant estimator, and any range on a cost guide or service page, is an approximation based on the information you provide and on typical projects in Northern Virginia. It is not a quote, an offer or a promise of price. Actual cost depends on surface condition, the preparation needed, access, product choice and other factors we can only assess in person.

Your price is set by the written quote we prepare after a free, no-obligation on-site or virtual walkthrough. If a range on this site and your written quote differ, the written quote governs.

Scheduling, access and your responsibilities

When you book work, you agree to give our crew reasonable access to the property on the agreed dates and to move or protect items as described in your quote. Tell us in advance about anything that could affect the work — pets, alarm systems, HOA rules, and the age of your home, since homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint that changes how surfaces must be handled. Please also tell us about known moisture, mold or structural problems; paint does not fix them.

You may reschedule or cancel a free estimate visit at any time. Rescheduling and cancellation terms for booked projects are stated in your written agreement.

Payment

Payment terms are stated in your written quote. Some services offered through the website, such as a color consultation, carry a fee that is shown before you pay; whether and how that fee is credited toward a painting project is explained on the page where you buy it.

Workmanship warranty

Our workmanship warranty is described on the Warranty page. The specific term and conditions that apply to your project are stated in your written agreement, which controls if the two differ. Paint manufacturers offer their own product warranties, which are separate from ours.

Color accuracy

Colors shown on this site are digital approximations. Screens vary, lighting varies, and a painted surface never looks exactly like a pixel. Every swatch is shown with the manufacturer's name and color code so you can confirm it with a physical sample before we paint. We are not responsible for differences between an on-screen color and the finished surface where a physical sample was not approved.

Intellectual property

The text, photos, graphics, logo and design of this site belong to Gold House Painting or are used with permission. Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore names, logos and color names are trademarks of their owners and appear here under our partnership with them. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use; anything else requires our written permission.

If you send us photos, video or other material — for example, for a virtual walkthrough — you keep ownership and allow us to use it to prepare your estimate and perform the work. We will not publish your project in our gallery or marketing without your separate agreement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading or automated form entries, or requests for someone else without their permission.
• Probe, scan or interfere with the site, its security or its forms.
• Copy content, color data or images at scale, including by scraping.
• Use the site for anything unlawful.

Third-party links and tools

The site links to paint manufacturers' websites and, when you choose to load them, third-party maps. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their content.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The website and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep the site accurate and running but do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we may change or remove content at any time.

To the fullest extent Virginia law allows, Gold House Painting is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the website, including reliance on an estimate range or an on-screen color. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the obligations we take on in your written agreement, including our workmanship warranty.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes about the website will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Fairfax County, Virginia. Disputes about painting work are handled as described in your written agreement.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date of the most recent review is shown on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
